“Mapping Madness”

from the author of “Phonics and Spelling through Phoneme-Grapheme Mapping”

By Kathryn E. S. Grace, CAGS

Unlimited access to a video of the complete May 18th session with Q&A at the conclusion. The cost is $10

This workshop will focus on how the process of phoneme-grapheme mapping facilitates the mental process of orthographic mapping to help children better link the sounds they hear to the letter(s) they see and use in print.  A new infographic will be shared to demonstrate this very important link researched extensively by Dr. Linnea Ehri and others.

Additionally, Kathryn will share how to use syllable types to organize and map the 100 most frequently used words in children’s reading and writing. You will be amazed at how few of these very important words are actually heart words!

Lastly, Kathryn will demonstrate the mapping of some of the more complex phonics and morphology principles she has received questions about from the users of her popular teacher resource.

Please join us for an hour+ of “Mapping Madness”. Also included is a pdf download of PowerPoint slides used in the presentation.
